HOLDEN SHEPPARD

From invisible boy to multi-award-winning Australian novelist, Holden Sheppard has never fit the classic author stereotypes. A country boy, a weightlifter and a self-proclaimed "bromosexual", Holden found literary acclaim with the raw, blokey honesty of his contemporary fiction.
Holden's novels Invisible Boys and The Brink achieved both commercial and critical success, winning accolades including the WA Premier's Prize, the Hungerford Award and the Ena Noel Award. Invisible Boys was adapted for television in 2025 and is now streaming as a ten-episode Stan Original Series on Stan Australia and TVNZ.
Holden's new novel, King of Dirt, is out now. A gritty coming-of-age novel and a gay bogan love story set in the world of FIFO workers and tradies, King of Dirt won rave reviews as 'a standout work of Australian fiction' and Holden's 'best book yet'.
To celebrate King of Dirt and the Invisible Boys TV series, Holden is undertaking a national book tour from June-August 2025, with tickets now on sale.
